Role Overview
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to prepare and maintain financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and eDynamic Learning’s company policies. This role supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, reconciliations, and the overall integrity of the eDynamic Learning’s financial reporting. This role also is responsible for invoicing customers, cash receipt applications, and maintaining and monitoring aged accounts receivable.
In this role, you will report to the Controller and work cross-functionally across the organization, as well as work with external customers. You will collaborate with a team that operates in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the company’s growth, while further developing your accounting skills.

This role also is responsible for invoicing customers, cash receipt applications, and maintaining and monitoring aged accounts receivable.

Responsibilities
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording customer-related data (including new customer set up, invoicing, validation of tax exemption status, cash application)
- Ensuring cash receipts are appropriately applied against customers’ accounts, including working cross-functionally with accounts payable to issue refunds to customers, if necessary
- Work cross-functionally with the sales and revenue ops teams to ensure customer data is accurate and invoicing is complete at the end of the period
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling customer account balances
- Post and apply daily cash receipts, lockbox deposits, and any other deposits to the general ledger to capture cash received during the period
- Review and maintain aged receivables at appropriate levels in accordance with organizational policies, which includes following up with customers on aged balances
- Accrue unbilled revenue at the end of the reporting period
- Prepare reconciliation of subledger to the general ledger
- Prepare and maintain a schedule of estimated credit losses
- Prepare and maintain a schedule of collection efforts and notes on aged accounts
- Prepare and support monthly financial reporting package for accounts receivable
- Assists in establishing SOPs and process documentation for the order to cash process
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
- CPA certification, preferred
- 3+ years of previous general ledger accounting experience required
- Previous experience within accounts receivable preferred
- Oracle NetSuite experience required
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience with Salesforce preferred
